The skin remains smooth, fresh, radiant and toned for longer.
PLANT MERISTEMES, plant stem cells
The development of substances capable of fighting skin ageing in a natural way has focused on the use of meristematic plant cells. Plant stem cells have a particularity compared to animal stem cells; in fact, even in adult specimens there are tissues, called meristematic, whose cells are able to give rise to the different tissues of the plant. Meristematic cells can be reproduced and cultivated in vitro, in the laboratory. Cell cultures allow to control the growth parameters and also stimulate the accumulation of specific functional substances of cosmetic interest. In this way, plant extracts are obtained that are characterised by a defined and reproducible composition and concentration of molecules; moreover, they do not contain pesticides or other pollutants potentially present in extracts obtained from common plants that are not cultivated under laboratory conditions.
Stem cell cultures contain a complex of substances that includes mineral salts, sugars, proteins, phenols, amino acids, lipids, which can protect the skin and thus contribute effectively to the prevention of aging. Among the plants selected for in vitro stem cultivation are the Alpine rose, sequoia, snow algae, buddleia and the Swiss apple tree Uttwiler Spätlauber. The latter in particular has been studied for the surprising longevity of its cells characterized by a high concentration of tannic acid, a chemical substance present in plant extracts able to combine with the proteins of the skin of animals.
This particular property allows apple stem cells to stimulate skin regeneration, protecting the skin from the daily threats posed by external environmental factors that can accelerate the processes of chronological aging of tissues. Thanks to the metabolites that promote the longevity of the skin cells, the plant stem cells of the Uttwiler Spätlauber apple tree are the ideal element not only to delay the slow and progressive decay of tissues, but also to stimulate cell development both during growth and in the repair of damaged tissues. The plant stem cells of this plant only interact with their “homologous cells” of the dermis to create new compounds, in particular collagen and elastin.
How to use
Open the sachet. Remove the two outer layers (nylon and blue non-woven fabric) used to protect the mask. Take the biocellulose sheet between your thumb and forefinger and apply from the forehead. Leave to work for 20 minutes.
